| BEAVERTON LAST TUESDAY August 28th, 5-8 PM Public Plaza at The Round Free Art Exhibition and Concert Event featuring over a dozen local artists and a NEW feature -Latin Dance Demonstrations WHEN: Tuesday, August 28th, 5 – 8 p.m. *Cancellation will be determined at 3pm on day of event for inclement weather WHAT: Presented by the Beaverton Arts Commission and sponsored by the City of Beaverton, Washington County Arts, Heritage and Humanities Coalition and Oregon Cultural Trust. Beaverton Last Tuesday (BLT) is an art exhibition and sale of works in a variety of media by local artists and live music in the amphitheatre. All activities are free to the public. WHO/Musicians: Bossa Nouveau Bossa Nouveau’s music is influenced by Bossa, Samba, Frevo, as well as Brazilian pop music. It also reflects cross-cultural music genres, such as Flamenco, Afro-Cuban, American Jazz, Rock and Blues. WHO/Artists: Emma Achleithner, Beaverton, Watercolors; Cube Gallery, Beaverton, Variety of Local Artists and media; Suzanne Griffiths, Beaverton, Paper Collage Notecards; Max Hinz, Beaverton, Oil or Acrylic on Canvas; Laura Hopper, Hillsboro, Watercolor; Eileen S. Kane, Hillsboro, Watercolors; Denny Lumsden, Portland (97229), Acrylics; Geneva Manaton, Beaverton, Watercolors, Oils, Acrylics, Pastels; Roberta Palmer, Beaverton, Concrete Cast Leaf; Becky Pardo-Jarvis, Beaverton, Textiles; Sherrie Rieger, Beaverton, Digital Photography Painting; Cynthia Russell, Beaverton, Jewelry; Ericka Sears, Beaverton, Painting; Robyn Thompson, Aloha, Oils and Acrylics; Kimberlee Weisker, Beaverton, Watercolors and Jewelry. These artists will have their work on display and available for sale throughout the evening. WHO/Dancers: Rene Nunez & Lori Hadjazari, from the Ballroom Dance Company (Tigard) will perform Latin style ballroom dance demonstrations on August 28th. WHERE: The Round Fountain Plaza, 12600 Crescent Street, adjacent to the Beaverton Central light rail station Beaverton. Parking available off Cedar Hills Blvd in the former Westgate Cinema parking lot. SPECIAL FEATURE IN AUGUST: Also in August the BLT will feature iGiveWhereiLive campaign, a public education event to promote community involvement throughout Washington County.
