Join the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District as we celebrate parks and summertime with a free community concert at Kaiser Woods Park. Bring your family, a lawn chair or blanket, and meet your neighbors and friends for a summer evening of fun and music. Rock the evening away with Chicamarimba, a nine-woman marimba ensemble playing upbeat world music! Pizza and drinks are available for purchase, or bring your own picnic. No alcohol allowed.

Chicamarimba is a nine-woman marimba ensemble whose performance radiates with a love of music and deep friendship. Chicamarimba plays upbeat world music blending African and Latin American rhythms as

well as contemporary favorites for all ages to enjoy.

Instrumentation consists of seven marimbas, drums, hosho (African gourd shakers) and a variety of percussion instruments. Vocals include traditional Zimbabwean harmonies as well as contemporary songs. Chicamarimba performances are lively, high energy, and exhilarating. The band performs in a variety of venues including community festivals, corporate events, weddings, parties and multicultural events. This Portland band exudes magic and passion.

On-street parking: Any of the streets surround that portion of the park.
Concert entrance points: Goldenweed, Dawnwood and McGregor.
